Città della Pieve is a lively, medieval hilltop town of Etruscan-Roman origins, famed for its red brick palazzos, stunning fresco’s and annual festivals. Also home to one of the most important Italian Renaissance painters: Pietro Vannucci called “Il Perugino”, master of Raphael whose works are exhibited in major galleries around the world.

Walking distance from Grove Cottage the town, with a plethora of churches, museums, artisan and boutique shops, A beautiful chocolate-box theatre, lively cafe’s, excellent restaurants and speciality food stores. Along with 3 cookery schools, wineries and weekly markets really does offer something for every discerning traveller. Whilst also being just a short drive from some of the Umbria and Tuscany’s most famous hilltop towns.
